Great cartoon Veritas.
Its "on the money"
Lionfish
Lionfish - a few years when Hill$ong was in its infancy back in the early 80's a friend of mine who was quite a wealthy businessman (nice company, nice home, 2 mercedes etc) visited their services with the idea of making it his regular church home. But he was put off by their pontificating sychophants crawling up to him begging him to join the hill$ong church - turned out they wanted him because he would obviously be a big tither. Fortunately he saw through their greedy intentions and went elsewhere.
I like that you used the words "pontificating sychophants".
It's a shame, though, the stereotypes put on a lot of churches. unfortunately, it seems most stereotypes hold a grain (or a boulder) of truth.
Our teaching pastor is actually doing a series on money right now...
Thanks Van, sad but too often it is too true.
